Project so far...

After my second meeting with my supervisor, I have cut down my title dramatically, focussing solely on how real work in prisons affects reoffending rates...

My Title:
To what extent is the use of paid work within prison effective in reducing re-offending rates?

Over summer, my plan of researching my topic is:

• Email the Howard League to enquire about research in this area, also consider the opportunity of visiting the offices in London
• Read the 'The Prison of Unemployment' and look at the references section of it – follow up any references and read wider
• Email Strangeways
• Try and organise a visit to a prison
